Wine tasting and auction at Main Street Artisans
The Chinese Gazebo Garden Committee invites Evanston citizens and visitors alike to taste and bid on their favorite wines at a Wine Tasting & Auction on Friday, April 20 at Main Street Artisans from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tickets are available at Evanston City Hall for $40 per couple or $25 per individual. Hosting the event will be wine connoisseur Bob Adams from Laramie. Adams is a Wyoming liquor distributor and regularly teaches a wine appreciation class at the University of Wyoming.

Funds from the event will be used to help grow the Chinese Gazebo Garden in Evanston’s Historic Depot Square. Former resident and philanthropist Wayman Wing has graciously offered to build an authentic Chinese gazebo near the Joss House in Depot Square. In honor of Mr. Wing’s generous gift, the committee has been working to grow a garden around the gazebo by July 6 when it will be dedicated.

For more information about the wine-tasting fundraiser or about the Chinese Gazebo Garden, please visit City Hall, 1200 Main Street or call (307) 783-6316.
