Annual Evanston Spring Clean-Up Week
The City of Evanston will once again be conducting the Annual Spring Clean-Up. This will run from May 3-11, 2008. Due to the rising cost of operation, WE WILL NOT BE GOING HOUSE TO HOUSE in the residential areas. We will be providing 10 drop off site locations that residential material may be hauled to. Remember this clean up is for residential use only.

CHOOSE ONE OF THE TEN DROP OFF SITE LOCATIONS NEAREST YOU:

•Centennial Park: end of Colonial Ave.
•End of 17th Street: by the Substation
•Overthrust Ball Fields: closest to the Interstate
•Overthrust Park: end of Tomahawk Dr.
•Ottley Park: end of Hickey Ave.
•Vacant lot on corner of Saddle Ridge & Ortega Court
•Vacant lot on corner of Hwy. 150 South & South Valley Dr.
•End of Sundance Ave.: Ranch Subdivision
•Railroad Park: 350 Elm St.
•Red Mtn. Park: end of Red Mountain Dr.

Citizens needing assistance with their clean up efforts may contact the local Boy Scouts of America, Director John Mangan at 789-3890 or 679-6759.

Commercial and Construction material will not be accepted.

Please make note of the pick-up date at the collection site because debris will not be accepted after that date.

As in the past, there are items that we can not haul to the Landfill and the items will be your responsibility to dispose of. We cannot accept the following: Tires, Batteries, refrigerators/freezers, dishwashers, old vehicles, paint, and chemicals.
