Evanston Cowboy Days

Labor Day weekend - the last big bash of the season - Evanston Cowboy Days, honoring those who helped the West continue to grow, has been an Evanston tradition for 72 years. Three days of family fun and adventure are scheduled for Labor Day Weekend. Evanston Cowboy Days features a Professional Rodeo (PRCA sanctioned) Saturday and Sunday at 6:00 p.m. and Monday at 2:00 p.m. A parade for the whole family Monday at 10:00 a.m. on Front & Main Streets, everyone is invited to participate. Don't forget the kids fish catch, Saturday at 12:00 p.m. Arts and Craft booths are at the Fairgrounds for your enjoyment. Dances following each evening performance for everyone to come and shake a leg. 39th Annual Cowboy Days Spaghetti Dinner
39th annual Cowboy Days Spaghetti Dinner begins @ 3 and continues to 8 PM inside the St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Center, 825 Center Street. $8.50 for adults, $4.00 for children and 4 & under are free. the all you can eat dinner includes spaghetti and meatballs, salad, garlic bread, dessert and drink. Sponsored by the Evanston Council of Catholic Women, with proceeds going to various charities throughout the year.
